About this task

This feature is used to tune the dither submodule of sharpness, which implements bit-depth reduction from RGB U12 to RGB U10 by using 2x2 ordered dithering.

Procedure

  1. Next to Enable Dither, select Enable to enable the dither submodule of sharpness.
  2. Next to Dither Table, click View/Edit this Table and edit the dither tables for R, G, and B channels in the prompted dialog.
The dither table for each channel contains a value for low array and a value for high array.
You can use one of the following methods to update the Dither Table:
    • Double-click and edit a cell in the table to update a single value.
    • Click Edit and update the values in the prompted Edit Table dialog.

The values must be specified in the same order as the table columns and separated by a comma (,).

    • Click Export to export the values to a .csv file, edit the file, and then import the updated values from the .csv file.

The order of the values in the exported .csv file is the same as that in the table.

Results

  • The tuning results are printed in the Console view in real time.
  • The image displayed on the VTunerServer side is updated.
