Tuning the Common Sharpness Feature

This section describes how to tune the Common Sharpness feature to control the common sharpness switches of a DC9400.

Before you begin

Make sure:
  • The details view contains the Common Sharpness table.

    To tune this feature, you need to choose DC9400 > Sharpness > Common Sharpness in the Features view. For more details, see Tuning a DC9400 Feature.

  • A VTunerServer is accessible.

    For information about how to set up a connection to a VTunerServer, see Setting Up a Connection to a VTunerServer.

Procedure

  1. Next to Enable Sharpness, select Enable to enable the sharpness module.
  2. From the Sharp Ink Mode drop-down list, select one of the following options to specify the internal data to be displayed:
    • VS_DPU_LNK_DEFAULT: (default) to bypass the ink mode
    • VS_DPU_LNK_G0, VS_DPU_LNK_G1, or VS_DPU_LNK_G2: to display the data of a Gaussian layer
    • VS_DPU_LNK_L0, VS_DPU_LNK_L1, or VS_DPU_LNK_L2: to display the data of a Laplacian layer
    • VS_DPU_LNK_ADAPT: to display the color-adaptive region
    • VS_DPU_LNK_V0, VS_DPU_LNK_V1, or VS_DPU_LNK_V2: to display the variance of a layer
    • VS_DPU_LNK_LUMA: to display the luma gain

Results

  • The tuning results are printed in the Console view in real time.
  • The image displayed on the VTunerServer side is updated.
